Tapping for life

If you are leading and always lead a happy life, unaffected by stress, anxiety or other psychological problems then this book is not for you. Read no further. If, instead, like most of us, you may benefit from a self-help manual, which clearly and simply explains how to overcome emotional disturbances, then here you may find a solution. Tapping for life by Janet Thompson (Hay House, £12.99) [FOUR STARS] If you are leading and always lead a happy life, unaffected by stress, anxiety or other psychological problems then this book is not for you.  Read no further. If, instead, like most of us, you may benefit from a self-help manual, which clearly and simply explains how to overcome emotional disturbances, then here you may find a solution. Janet Thompson draws from her experience as a practitioner to offer a drug-free form of meridian therapy: Thought Field Therapy (TFT). The self-help nature of this manual and its friendly tone makes it engaging and easy to read.  Following a brief introduction to TFT the author reassuringly guides the reader through the chapters inviting to a practical application of the explained techniques.  Simplicity and user-friendliness contradistinguish this work. However, the same qualities which make Tapping for Life approachable and endearing also characterise its style. As a result the language sounds simplistic and conversational, dotted with exclamation marks and colloquialisms.  But to err in simplicity is not such an unforgivable flaw for a book which may reward you with a happy and fulfilled life.
