ENERGY VAMPIRES and how to survive them!

I first heard of energy vampires in Moscow, Russia. Gala, my interpreter, and I were walking along past some stalls when an elderly woman popped out from a booth and caught hold of my arm. “Po Jalousta. Please. Please listen,” insisted the woman, holding on to me. “Please. You must listen. It’s important. Important for you.” That was how I heard of energy vampires and was given advice on how to free myself. What Nadezhda Ivanova, the old lady, wanted was to warn me was that I was under siege and give me advice on how to get free. “That man, the one with the red hair.” She said, pointing into the crowd. Disconcertingly, the man she was pointing to was my boss. That she had managed to pick out the one person I actually knew gave her some credibility. We had arrived in two cars so it wasn’t as if she’d seen us together. As you might have gathered I was a doubting Thomas, a sceptic. Had Nadezhda been less convincing I might have died that way. Nadezhda told me that energy vampires are people, real live people. They are not part of the undead that we normally associate with the word ‘vampire’. They have been called vampires by the shamans because the energy vampire is unable to comfortably sustain its own life. They need positive energy because they themselves cannot create any. They are negative and cannot find any light within themselves. They need a person who is a natural giver, someone who enjoys giving and helping others. They will then keep the victim close for fear of losing them. The trouble is that in most cases the energy vampire is unconscious of his state. They feel their need to dominate, but are unaware of the reason for it. This is true too of the victim. The vampire’s victim has a defect of which they know nothing – they have a hole in their energy shield. This allows the vampire access, but the victim must be willing to give. The energy vampire cannot take what he or she needs by force. Very often the victim will give willingly at the beginning, but will quickly begin to feel unwell. Often quite physically unwell: dizzy, tired, run-down. They will feel used or ‘sucked dry’. This perfectly describes the physical and mental state the victims end up in. Energy vampires do not kill, they subjugate their victims. They will make you feel unsure of yourself, too tired to go it alone; make sure you are unable to regain the mental stability and equilibrium to reach a reasoned decision. The obvious decision being to leave and find a more congenial partner or boss or friend. Here are two real life examples that I hope will clarify a vampire attack. The first is a brother victim of a sister vampire. There were only three years between them so it was assumed that the boy was simply jealous and vying for attention. His state did not improve with time and was sent to his grandmother. He was nine by the time Nadyezhda met him, recognised his problem for what it was, suggested that he should be allowed to live permanently with his grandmother and helped him heal his shield. After that the boy calmed down and was able to do well all through school. My own case started when I was working in north-west Italy. My vampire, from whom Nadyezhda eventually helped me break away, I’ll call Gianni. We met when he booked one-to-one lessons. In the second week I had to cancel twice because I developed a migraine. At the time I gave this no thought. Later Gianni employed me. I had been working for him for two years when we went to Moscow and I met Nadyezhda. In that time I had given notice (which was not accepted) three times but had never actually left. My migraines were no longer occasional, but a regular part of my life. I even tried, in a not very convincing way, to commit suicide. I know that neither of us had any idea of the true state of our relationship. Gianni, obviously, used no force on me, he merely put me in a condition where I found refusal difficult. That is typical. An energy vampire will make a bright, active, ‘doing’ person feel dull, tired and full of dark thoughts. They are clever, they know how to play on the emotions of their victims to their own great advantage, keeping them off-balance, insecure and unable to leave.

Understanding and taking control So how do you break free of the vampire’s persecution and return to being your real self? It is not easy, but – and any victim reading this needs to believe this – it is possible. I did it. Before we touch on the repair of the energy shield and the amulets you can use there are a few things you must do for yourself, by yourself.

1)Believe you can regain your energy and your life. You are strong. If you were not you would be of no use as an energy source. Believe you can defeat the vampire. 2)Try to identify your vampire. Once you have, find a way to place as much distance as you can between you and your aggressor. This should, ideally, be both physical and mental. 3)Use the time you are away to build up your strength. I warn you that the attack of an energy vampire is not resolved instantaneously with a single act, so be brave and be prepared for a long convalescence. Try to re-contact friends (you may well have lost touch). Reach out to old friends for support. Victims are often lonely. If you find the courage to go this far you are over the worst. 4)Do not back-slide towards your persecutor. Don’t believe their promises that ‘things will be different’. They won’t. The vampire – if you return – will merely keep guard over you more tightly. 5)Join a group. Nowhere will you find someone saying “I was a victim of a vampire. I have been free …” or any such thing; but all those to whom I have spoken agreed that having a new focus helps build both energy and self-confidence. You want to share with others in an equal, non subordinate fashion. If you have had the courage and dedication to do all this, you are doing very well.

Sealing or empowering your shield I have been given of a number of supportive charms; they come from shamanic medicine, from folklore and from those who have shared their experiences with me in the years since I fought my battle and shook off my own vampire. To be sure it is a vampire attack: take a very fresh egg. Touch the tip (the narrowest point) to each of your body’s seven openings, starting from the left eye and working clockwise in sequence. Return the egg to the top of the head for a few moments. Set the egg aside in a cool place a full 24hrs. Take the egg outside and break open. A person subject to a vampire attack will find the egg is putrid. This process, repeated regularly, I am told, also helps to close the rents in the energy shield. An important aid to building and repairing energy is the use of crystals. A multi-faceted pure silver crystal is best for this. Hang the crystal from the branch of a tree – ideally this should be: a birch, a rowan, an oak or olive. If none of these is available to you an easy option is to go to a garden centre and buy one. However if you can, please choose a natural setting, their powers are stronger as they are more radiated in the earth. Do this on a bright sunny day, just before the full moon is perfect. Leave the crystal to ‘charge’ for a full 24hrs. Wear it under clothes, touching the skin. This ritual should be repeated for at least three times. Silver and garlic are the enemy of the vampire, the combination creates a powerful amulet. Buy a locket of the very highest grade of silver you can find. Once a week slice a clove of garlic and fill the locket. Do not use dried garlic, always use fresh. To make it more wearable add a few leafs of angelica, rosemary or lavender. Pick the leaves on a bright morning, after the dew has dried, in the growing phase of the moon – ideally just before the full moon. After the crisis is past, wear the herbs alone for about three months.

Meditation is also a useful and important tool. There are two basic meditations that can help. For both the meditations: - be sure to turn off all phones, radios, TVs and any other connection to the outside world. This is particularly important if you are meditating during an active attack to try to build strength and resistance. - sit in a quiet place where you feel safe, a place where you can relax completely. Think carefully about this because it impacts strongly on the meditation.

1)Visualise a bright place, one you like, in which you feel safe. It must have lots of natural light, but for the rest you can imagine it any way you like. It is important that you work on the detailed image, feel it, smell it, make it is as real as it can be. Be sure it is a place you can call up every time you meditate. After you have your sanctuary firmly set in every detail, choose your mantra. This should be a short phrase with meaning for you. It must be positive, personal, in the present and relevant to empowerment and/or protection. Most of the people I spoke to had a very personal mantra. At the beginning of my cure Nadyezhda suggested some examples: ‘I am safe’, ‘I am strong’, or a line from a prayer like ‘angels guard me’ or ‘the Lord frees me’. To complete this meditation sit in your sanctuary, repeat the mantra over and over. Feel the light covering you. You will feel warm, safe and in time will build up a much stronger energy field. This will reinforce the power in your energy shield. 2)Choose a piece of music that makes you feel good, that means something to you. The music doesn’t have to be classical, it can be a piece of a song or a hymn, anything that you can associate with in a good, positive way. Prepare a CD, or a track on your MP3 or whatever you use and tape the piece over and over at least 10 times or for about 10-15 minutes duration. Use this when under attack or feeling vulnerable or sore. Choose a place apart, as private as you can manage (at a pinch even the car will do). Play your music. Concentrate on it. Imagine the notes as silver bars, they are surrounding you and keeping you safe. Nothing can reach you. 3)The shower image can be used as a short-cut technique in any place - the toilet as a last resort. Imagine you are under a waterfall; soft, clean, warm water is washing you clean. You are clean and you are strong. Practice this when you are alone, and repeat it each time you feel bad. The more you use it the quicker it takes effect.

This is what I know and what I have learnt that can help. It did help me. I hope now it will help any of you who need it.
