Being Happier than God - Neale Donald Walsch

Best-selling author and visionary Neale Donald Walsch talks to spiritual life coach Mike Brown, and shares his wisdom, his inspirations and his secret to living a life of ease Neale, what is your personal mission in life? NDW I’d like to change the world’s mind about God, and I’ll tell you why. We are in a terrible state of confusion about God – we have something like 243 known religions. We have not just one or two, but dozens of Holy Scriptures. And we just aren’t clear at all about who we are in relationship to God. God is what God wants. Once we change our mind about all that, so much of what is confl icting both internally in each one of us as a human being as well as between human beings on the planet, will dissolve and disappear. Because much of the conflict… the internal confl ict that goes on in each of the minds of an individual person, as well as the confl ict we allow to arise between us…so much of that confl ict is rooted in our ideas about life, about who we are in relationship to each other, our ideas about right and wrong, our ideas about good and evil. And all those ideas are rooted in larger thoughts we hold about the universe and about life, and about God itself. I’ll give you one example. We imagine God is a punishing God. If we ever let go of our idea of God as a punishing, condemning, damning God, if we decided that God loved us no matter what and loves us with an unconditional love, everything in our educational, political, social, and economic structures would have to change… because all of our ideas about right and wrong, good and evil, and how life should be lived on this planet would be altered dramatically…because we would no longer be afraid that we are somehow committing some sin against God by doing certain things in certain ways. That would allow us to stop all this internal conflict that human beings have inside of themselves.
